Superglue from the German brand UHU.
- Gel version: Ideal for porous materials and vertical surfaces. Quick and easy to correct in the short term
- Liquid version: Flows into the smallest corners and gaps
- Extremely strong
- 3x original sealed tubes
- Comes with a practical storage box
- Dishwasher-safe and water-resistant
Suitable for:
Ideal for bonding small surfaces. Adheres to almost all rigid and flexible materials such as ceramics, leather, rubber, many plastics (e.g. hard PVC, ABS, PS, Plexiglas®, polycarbonate (Makrolon®), phenolic resin (Bakelite®)), porcelain, metal, wood, cork, felt, and fabric (first test on an inconspicuous area). Only partially suitable for glass (after some time the bond becomes brittle and loses strength). Ideal for porous materials.
Not suitable for:
Not suitable for PE, PP, silicone resins, PTFE, Styrofoam®, fabric, and leather clothing.
Preparation
Working conditions
Do not use at temperatures below +10 °C. The adhesive works best at a humidity level of 50–70%.
Surface requirements
The materials to be bonded must be clean, dry, free from dust and grease, and fit together precisely.
Surface preparation
Any dust, oil, grease, wax, or other separating agents must be thoroughly removed from the surfaces before bonding. The best way to clean the surfaces is with suitable solvents, such as acetone (if the material is solvent-resistant – check beforehand!). For metals or metal alloys, it is usually sufficient to roughen or sand the surface.
Processing
Instructions for use
-
To open the membrane, screw the entire cap clockwise firmly onto the tube. Do not squeeze the tube while opening the membrane.
-
For use, simply unscrew the small protective cap. Apply the adhesive as thinly as possible to one surface only (too much adhesive will significantly slow the curing process). Immediately press the parts together.
Clean the nozzle tip with a dry cloth after use and close the tube with the protective cap.
Note
When bonding at low humidity, the curing time can be shortened by briefly breathing on one of the parts to be bonded. Best bonding results are achieved at room temperature.
Please note
Super glue contains cyanoacrylate. Bonds skin and eyelids in seconds. In case of eye contact, rinse carefully with plenty of water for several minutes and seek medical advice. If it comes into contact with skin, wash the adhesive off with warm soapy water and then apply skin cream. May cause breathing difficulties. Avoid inhaling vapors. Keep out of reach of children.
After use
Stains/Residues
Immediately remove excess adhesive with a dry cloth. Once hardened, excess adhesive is very difficult to remove. Acetone will dissolve the adhesive, but only very slowly (check suitability first).
Storage conditions
Store in a dry, cool, and frost-free place. Storing below +5 °C (in the refrigerator) ensures maximum shelf life.
